Wow that was definitly an interesting night...

So had a cruise with my High School friends last night... but basically my whole day was devoted to it, because Kenneth (our organizer) told me that the dress code was business formal (so either Dress Shirt/Dress Pants, Dress Shirt/Jeans)... well thats a problem since afterall those who actually read this know that my wardrobe is awfully limited to just t-shirts and sweatpants... so basically my whole morning and early afternoon was spent on finding decent stuff to dress... however obviously throughout my "fretting" the other members of our cruise party noticed me freaking over the "dress code" and just had to ask what was happening... needless to say it was pretty obvious that i was being scammed into dressing nicely... anyways by now it was too late.. .i got my father, mother, and sister involved... (actually i think they were just happy to actualyl get a RARE chance to dress me up for the night...) so I still ended up going nicely dressed...

so anyways including me there was 8 of us in our group... we don't need to go into all their names (not everyone that might read this knows everyone... (well Uni people definitly won't know)
btw I was DEFINITLY well dressed compared to all of them.. thank god my father gaved me his jacket to wear otherwise I would have stuck out WAY WAY more (I had much nicer clothing under the jacket)... actually everything but the sock, dress shirt, and dress shoes was from my father... so that would be the jacket, dress pants, vest (yes i was wearing a vest.. parents were afraid that it'll be cold.. actually with the rain it was LOL)

hmm so we got to the pier early and we waited for everyone to arrive (since some of us were arriving on our own). Then we finally got on the boat/yacht? and what do you know we had a whole table reserved just for us (we were the only ones to have a table reserved), so we dropped of our stuff and went to the top/dance floor to watch the harbour while the rest of the passengers was checked in... then we had our food (which i had a bit too much as i ended up getting everyones leftover, or stuff they didn't want to eat), and i was munching on the veggies sticks at the 3 bars (1 for each floor) .. btw i was a loser and as usual and did not have any alcohol.. anyways we only had 2 drink tickets, and pop had more liquid then alcohol did anyways... then we all migrated to the dance floor after food...

personally i would have loved to just sit on the side and watch the scenary as it passed by (the yacht just went around Toronto Harbour/Islands for 3 hours), but my friends wouldn't allow that. So they evntually managed to drag me onto the dance area... and because of how crowded the deck was, there was no way i could fight them off (like i did in the past events that had dancing involved ... ie Prom.. If you forgot my now.. I'm a loser)...

Well all i did then was just stand still and watch them dance... of course this didn't bode well with them especially since we still had like 2 hours in our cruise at this time... so basically a circle was formed... and i was pushed into the center and then Tim grabbed my arms and flailed them around to the music, and eventually got to the point of banging/knocking in my knees to get me to move forward, get my legs/hip moving etc... To make it short... I didn't dance.. yet i did dance, and that was only because i was "posessed" as i would like to say, and my body moved against my own will (which is 100% true)

anyways after a while thank god... it started to rain a bit, and the deck quickly cleared up as people went below to sheltered areas.. I took this opportunity to get a drink, and then to go down also with another friend.. .the other 6 continued to dance... and only returned when they were getting close to drenched.. from there on we just sat and chatted for the last 45-1 hr of the cruise...

after that I went home changed, and went out to Bubble tea with them all.

That ends my day and this rant...

oh on a sadder note.. I fear I may be on the verge of losing out my job... LOL well it was to be expected anyways... My boss like to try and save or get as much money as possible out of stuff... and funny enough I read in the newspaper for my hororscope something along the lines of job/boss etc etc... anyways so the jist of it is that my boss has found another student and he and assistants are gonna go through a trial period with him/her (which throughout this whole time I won't be able to go in, since we'll be doing the exact same thing...) anyways the main reason for all this is that i'm being paid $9 per hour, and my potential replacement is gonna be getting 8 something... oh wow... we know who my boss is gonna stick with... gotta start eating smart and save money by eating cheap/bringing food/starving till i get home... as its pretty obvious whats gonna happen.. $8 something vs $9... I know what my choice would be easily if i had the choice LOL

ah well... it was good while it lasted (though nothing has happened yet in reality)

well here's to a new school year

new school year and it all started on a busy busy note...

so of course as you know there's the Toronto International Film Festival... Toronto is being swarmed by movie fans and casts, and everyone out going stargazing (sad thing is if i was right next to the person.. i'll probaly wouldn't recognize him/her LOL)

anyways so so far i've seen 3 movies... the 1st was Jade Warrior which happens to be a Finnish/Chinese and it was only completed 2 weeks (or wa sit 1 week...) prior to the film festival... so what we saw was the world premier (and obviously the director was there for Q&A.. heck all the films i've been to so far has had the director there).

The 2nd film i saw was King and the Clown, which was apprently like the highest rated/grossing film in Korea... and i dare say it was an AMAZING movie...

The 3rd was called Family Ties and it was a Korean film, and it was a film revolving around 3 families in regards to relationships and all that between lovers, family, in laws etc...

all of them were pretty good, but as i said i like the King and the Clown the most. Me and my sisters are trying to watch one more film later this week. This one is called Hana and is a Japanese film taking place in the Edo? era about what was it.. oh i forgot the description... but yeah we need to rush that, as all the tickets were like sold out on the 1st day...

Ok next onto the next topic... School has started... and it is BLAH... BORING!!!... and i've been finding myself sleeping an incredible amount these days, and i've been sleeping early too.. .and i'm still sleepy at Uni, and on the bus to Uni and back. and at home all day long... sigh...

Ok onto the final topic my root canal... So i got the 1st part done like 2 weeks ago, so today i wen tin for the 2nd part, which was basically them checking to make sure the teeth root is clean, and then to find a proper sized "filling" to stick into the hole and then to seal it up with more filling. and sigh that was a long long procedure... got myself like what 3 doses of X-ray radiation today lol... 2 to see if the filling fit my teeths length properly and then the final to see the results (to allow comparisions to see if anything went wrong, and if my abscision (I HATE YOU STUPID THING!!! has started to shrink or not), so anyways thats to be seen in 6 months or so, and if all goes well then my teeth will be capped... if not then i'll have to go see a specialist to take care of it...

btw for those who don't know... the reason why my teeth needs to be capped is because that teeth that has been root canaled... is now a dead teeth.. so it would no longer be nourished, and be able to maintain its strength and structural integrity... (meaning i have to avoid biting on anything hard with that teeth).

So what does that mean to me?? well asides for the obvious fortune that my dentist/orthodontist/dental surgeon has recived from my family over the what hmm.. past 7-8 years... btw what i mean by that is that a normal adult would have 32 adult teeth (including the Wisdom Teeths)... but me ... I have now lost 8 of them either through removal or it being drilled to death (thats what the root canal did)... For those who want to know... 4 teeth were removed to accomadate my braces long long time ago... 3 Widsom teeth were removed last X-mas... and then we have the recently "departed"

sigh... how many more dental works am I gonna need in my lifetime ... hopefully asides for the regularly scheduled "cleanings" nothing more...

anyways... I think i shall go take a nap now... or find a comfortable place to lie down while i wait for feeling to return to my mouth (anaesthestics from the dental procedure today) .

Oh right... I mentioned at the end of my last blog that something "special" might happen to me... well it did (it was also one of the reasons why i spent the past week cleaning house, and myroom... well the room was for myself .. .and its still not done either). Anyways i won't talk about that now just yet... no point talking about it until a later date (once i learn when that later date is)

right now i'm sleep deprived as i've been hooked playing civilization 3, and once i play its been, i can't stop sigh.. LOL

anyways should start putting myself into a normal sleep schedule soon... gotta buy my textbooks.. most importantly get my room cleaned... and the public areas of the house (especially if a certain something really does happen to me soon LOL)

oh and there the Toronto International Film Festival too
