so whats new in my life... eh more procrastination ... anyways i'll talk about my cousins wedding, and for those remember me mentioning about something "special" happening to me a few weeks back, I'll now reveal what that is... But first the wedding (sorry if it gets longwinded)
anyways so basically last friday, my family went out for my cousins Wedding Banquet (technically he and his wife were married for a number of years now... the wedding video they howed had the the year 2002 on the it, but only his father was there from our side of the family... and then they came to Canada like the next year (well within 2 years or so and had the traditional Chinese Tea ceremony, with his parents and my parents) and now that there were again back in Canada they decided to have a proper banquet ceremony for my Aunt, his mother since she couldn't attend the one in China...) anyways since my father and mother are techincally "close" family they got to sit at the head table... but me and my sisters had to sit elsewhere... the sad thing was that we didn't EVEN HAVE A TABLE for the 3 of us (my 3rd sister was in town for it), so we sat at the head table while we figured out what was happening (since we got there really early)... anyways my sisters ended up nominating me to wander the resturant to look for our seats (since the tables should afterall have name/placards indicating the seating..), so i was left to wander while our other "closish" relatives (2nd, 3rd, 4th cousins? anyways one big family) arrived... funyn thing while i'm off staring at all the 3-4 tables that were reserved for "Fong's" I couldn't find anything that relates to my family.. but on the otherhand a "clansmen" (fellow Fong) took one look at me and basically thought to himself... why he certainly looks familiar, he looks like someone i know (obviously thats my father... ) so he followed me back to the head table, and voila my father/mother now had someone to talk to (since the rest of the head table was at the door greeting the guests).
Anyways eventually we realised that there was an "unlabelled" table and so me and my sisters quickly grabbed the seats there (as we figured it must have been for us "close family" that obviously couldn't sit at the main table... we ended sitting with my cousin's cousin from his father side of the family). Who apperently recognized my sisters so they chatted while we waited for food to arrive...
eventually it came to the midpoint of dinner and the head table started to do its rounds with the alcohol and toasting each person/table (obviously this means EVERYONE goes) however my father refused to go at all, and as such my mother didn't go either, and same with my 2nd cousin (my parents cuz?) only because he was too old to... (now for all those who always wonders why i'm such a bum and refuse to say dance, sing, partake in anything actively theres your reason right there... I'm my father's son alright LOL)... anyways after that lots of food... and then to my father's horror we had to stay behind while everyone left as we were to do wedding photo's. so basically we had to wait while the "wedded couple" and family greeted the people as they left which my father wanted to be one of... but it was chaotic doing the photo's everyone yealling for each, and pictures of each family group taken at a time... but anywyas yeah interesting time.. oh yeah at one point al of the groom's friends formed a "Pow Wow" around him and basically drank all the alcohol away (makes me fear for my life IF I ever get married, since we all know I don't drink)
Anyways now to the "secret" so basically a few weeks back I did a tv interview with Fairchild tv (the chinese channel), for the website PriceNetwork.ca (in my opinion i was volunteered/forced into doing it) oh well... it was definitly an interesting event... however I was right as to what they wanted me for (as they asked for volunteers for it like a month before the interview, and i said staright out that I can't do it if its related to the shopping nature of Pricenetwork.ca... as i DON'T EVEN DO SHOPPING LOL... ) anyways so yeah the interview involved going to my house (hence the frantic house cleaning, which has stalled as my room only got cleaned to a certain point... i really should finish it), and asking me why i do online shopping (all of which i had no choice but to think up BS on the spot.. ) so needless to say i was not very confident with what i was saying at all... So I fear the interview was bad.. but we'll see how they edit it all and such... (they'll definitly edit out me "stuttering" LOL)
But yeah for those who are wondering why I'm talking about this now... It's because the whole interview/report on Pricenetwork.ca is being shown on tv this Friday the 6th at 12:30pm? on Fairchild tv (i hope he got the info right for me LOL... I want to see how stupid i look on tv :D ). Hoping my mother will record it since i have class at the time
