Wisdom Teeth = an arm and leg!!!
Sigh well... the next phase of this "interesting" Wisdom Teeth serial of mine has occured...
Met with the Oral Surgeon today for a consulatation. Result = those 3 wisdom teeth of yours (1 visble, 1 beneath the skin, one who knows where) has to go. BTW my sis also came along for her consultation (I still don't understadn why she was so happy when that Teeth came out...) anyways her = 1 teeth needs out (+ she's at the age where any other wisdom teeth wouldn't even grow anymore)
Furthermore my mother freaked out pretty much right away..
paraphrasing from here own...
What 3!!!??? can't we just take out one side and do the other side later...
Dr = nah its better all at once... You don't want your son to suffer now do you?? This is quite painful and making him do it twice is just cruel (and then something along the lines of Guys are really wusses, better to get it down all at once). Hey my daughter, i made her get all 4 teeth pulled out at once... Anyways... we'll be trying to make it comfortable so we'll be using a combination of anesthetics (local, and whole). Oh and he can't eat food for 6 hours before the operation blah blah
Sis = err what about me... I only have 1 teeth needing out, do i need to go through all that??
Dr = Oh no... in your case, we'll only be using local anesthetics (freezing of the gums) (whole = laughing gas??, or whatever else), and you could eat some food with X hours unlike him...
me = damn...
Yeah anyways that how 50 dollars went down the drain... just for a consultation that lasted very shortly (less then 5 min). and a lot more lost due to the X-rays.
Oh yes... What about the cost of this upcoming surgery (scheduled somewhere in X-mas time... unless i have exams after it then i'll need to delay it). Well Teeth's apperently cost between $210-280 each depending on which ones are being pulled. Oh yes and then we have the Anesthetics/drugs to factor in... And wow Medical Specialists certainly make a nice living (not to mention their office hours STINK... Only work in mornings, and in their office a couple of times, they do have a second office but still...)
Anyways enough rambling the cost for my upcoming surgery comes to about $1050!!!.... my sisters damn her is way way much more cheaper... so now its time for my family to research and learn about the various insurances (Dad's company, and Univeristy) that i'm covered under to figure out how to get this operation covered by it...
Sigh... so not looking for to the month of Dec... sure theres the X-mas holidays but a good portion of it would be accomplished surviving under a liquid diet, and in pain... oh yes lets not forget thats when all the midterms take place.
ah well enough rambling...
